Main Street Fairmont Announces 2022 Schedule

Updated: Feb 21, 2023

A full season of events planned in downtown Fairmont

Main Street Fairmont is pleased to announce their 2022 season of events. This year, the Community Garage Sale, Hometown Markets, the Feast of the Seven Fishes and Hometown Christmas Market are back with a bang! All of our 2022 events are free to the general public.

The season kicks off with the Great Community Garage Sale, April 16 in the Fairmont Parking Garage on Madison Street. The individuals wishing to turn trash into treasure can purchase their spot for the event on the Main Street Fairmont website at: www.mainstreetfairmont.org/event-details/community-garage-sale

2022 Hometown Markets begin May 21. Local artisans and area small businesses will be on hand to showcase the finest in West Virginia products. Each market will include a special event, live music and fresh produce from local farmers courtesy of the Fairmont Farmer’s Market. Our new partners this year, the Girl Scouts of America, will provide fun activities for the young and young at heart at each market. Also new this year, Main Street Fairmont has partnered with the Marion County Master Gardeners to bring the Annual Tomato Festival to Monroe Street this August. After the Hometown Markets, visitors are encouraged to enjoy a leisurely dinner downtown, then head over to Palatine Park for the Summer Music Festival.

Vendors interested in participating in the Hometown Markets can request an application at: www.mainstreetfairmont.org/home-town-market

This season's schedule includes:

Hometown Holiday Celebration December 9 and 10

To kick off the celebration, the 2nd Annual Hometown Christmas Market will open on Friday, December 9 with even more tents and vendors than last year!

Returning for its 16th year, the Feast of the Seven Fishes will be live and in person once again on Saturday, December 10!
