Main Street Fairmont Hometown Market and Dancing in the Streets August 7
Band Line Up Announced.
Main Street Fairmont will be hosting its 4th of Hometown Market of the season Saturday, August 7, from 10 AM to 3 PM. This month's Hometown Market will include "Dancing in the Streets," with 4 live bands performing from 10 AM to 3 PM. Performances include:
10:00-11:30 the Brass, Rhythm & Sax Orchestra - A 16 piece orchestra classic big band music of the '30s, '40s, and '50s, featuring tunes of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, Sammy Nestico as well as others of that era
12:00 – 1:00 The Soda Pop Gyupsies – This duo will provide an eclectic mixture of music from many genres featuring something for everyone
1:00 – 2:00 Matt's Blues - Fairmont Native Matt Jordan will perform his solo act 'Matt's Blues,' which Matt describes as a blue-collar barrelhouse of contrasts: both manic and sorrowful, held together with old comic blues and vaudeville banter.
2:00 – 3:00 The J. Boylard Band - The J. Boylard Band 3 FSU faculty and one WVU student band together to cover some of the greatest hits from the '70s to today
In addition to "Dancing in the Street," This Hometown Market will feature more than 35 artisans and crafters, non-profit organizations, the Fairmont farmers' market, and food vendors.
