14th Annual Tomato Festival and Hometown Market

On Saturday, August 19th, Main Street Fairmont will be partnering with the Marion County Master Gardeners to host the Fourteenth Annual Tomato Festival in conjunction with the Hometown Market. Folks are encouraged to enter their tomatoes for the chance to win ribbons, cash prizes, and the titles of Best Tasting Tomato, Most Unusual Tomato, and Heaviest Tomato! Enjoy a day downtown at the Fourteenth Annual Tomato Festival and get the chance to taste some of the best homegrown tomatoes in the area, held along with the Hometown Market where dozens of local artisans will line the street. Join us downtown from 10AM-3PM for music, food, and more!

Stumptown Ales - NOW OPEN!!! Stumptown Ales is the newest addition to downtown Fairmont! They offer a wide selection of beers, IPAs, ales, sours, wine, hard seltzers, and hard ciders for all the non-beer fans! It also serves as a perfect stop after an event at Palatine Park! Crosswalk Painting


On Monday, July 10th, volunteers from the EQT Corporation joined us downtown as a part of their company-wide "Evolution Day" to help paint the crosswalk near the library. You can find the crosswalk at the intersection of Monroe and Adams Street. The repainted crosswalk features someone reading along with colorful books!

We want to thank all the EQT volunteers who came out to help us make the library crosswalk look as good as new!

Annual Meeting

Main Street Fairmont's Annual Meeting will be taking place on Tuesday, August 22nd, 4:30 PM at the Gatherings on Monroe Street. Join us for the evening and learn about Main Street's successes over the last year, and what's to . come for the organization.

We will have an awards ceremony and snacks & . refreshments will be provided.
